CUTLER — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL. Cutler–Orosi Joint Unified School District opened its aquatics complex on September 24, 2025, expanding access to swimming and water-safety activities for Cutler, Orosi and surrounding communities.
Key details for the community
The district described the pool project as a response to limited formal swim instruction opportunities for more than 17,000 area residents. The opening celebration included school musical groups and community performers.
In summer 2026 the district announced that aquatics programs were operating and provided a registration link and swimwear guidelines. Seasonal class availability, prices and pool hours depend on the current district schedule.
The facility’s opening is a completed historical milestone, not a brand-new November 2026 construction event. Parents should check water-safety rules, program eligibility and supervision requirements before bringing children.
Public pools and lessons can help families build safer habits near water, but no level of instruction eliminates the need for active supervision.
